Podcast Episode: What's Wrong With You?
My greatest joy in creating this podcast is seeing the community it’s building among single women. But it’s also helping to build my sense of community, too, especially when I speak to people who know—pretty poignantly—where I’m coming from. That was certainly true when I spoke to this week’s guest, Rebecca Perrin, a Toronto-based business owner and the perfect guest to chat with on Canada Day. At certain points I was like, “holy shit we’re the same person, cool.”
She and I were both raised by single mothers, and only as adults have we come to grasp the scope of what that meant for our mothers raising children. Also neither of us are going to become mothers, and one of my goals for this podcast is to discuss a broad range of views surrounding how we feel about motherhood as single women. If you don’t want kids, if you do want kids, or if you kinda just wanna move to a Scandinavian-inspired commune for women and call it a day, this one’s for you. Listen on iTunes, Spotify, or below.
