Shani Silver is an author and podcaster. Her name is pronounced like “rainy” with a “sh.” She has appeared on NPR and CNN, as well as in The Atlantic and The New York Times. Her first book, A Single Revolution: Don't look for a match—light one, was published in 2021. Shani's work challenges singles to  shed the shaming narratives we were taught in favor of the validity, value, and dignity that we deserve. Shani is not an advocate for singlehood, she's an advocate for people being happy while single, and there is a difference. She permanently deleted her dating apps in January of 2019 because the dating industry destroyed dating culture for profit. She is still very happy with her decision.

Shani writes two Substacks, Cheaper Than Therapy, a newsletter for 80s babies, and Hey Shani, a toxic positivity-free advice column for singles. Both publish once per week. She has also written a book, A Single Revolution: Don’t look for a match—light one, and she’s been the host of A Single Serving Podcast since 2019.

You can find Shani on TikTok and Instagram.

It is the blueprint for reframing the ways we think and feel about our singlehood. It is also how we start moving through the world as valid, whole, happy human beings who deserve respect.
